I've had this journal for several months now and have taken it on a trip. I like the hot press paper, it is of good quality for watercolor but only textured on one side. The main problem is the flap that folds over the journal is a pain, I have to clip it down to keep it from folding over my work surface. The leather jacket just doesn't want to stay down but tends to fold back up. Since I clip my paints and water to my journey for plein air it isn't a huge problem just annoying when trying to draw without the clips. I will keep using the journal and adding paper to it.
